Who We Are

Faith Lutheran Church and School

Our Mission is to:
REACH IN. REACH OUT. REACH ALL

As the body of Christ, we value...

CHRIST FIRST IN ALL THINGS
We are committed to diligence in prayer, worship, and financial responsibility as a means of honoring Christ. We will strive for excellence in all things so that we may be the light of Christ to those in darkness.

  • Colossians 3:17 - And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

  • Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

 TRUST IN GOD
We are committed to wholeheartedly trusting in God. We have faith that the Holy Spirit will guide us, as individuals and as a church family, to fulfill His mission here on earth with grace and honor in His name.

  • Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

  • Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

  • Romans 8:28 - And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

  • Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

 BIBLE-BASED TEACHING
We are committed to strengthening our relationship with Christ through Biblical preaching and God's word; feeding our spirit through worship, faithful reception of the sacraments and diligent prayer.

  • Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

  • Romans 10:17 - So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

CHRISTIAN DAY SCHOOL MINISTRY
We are committed to offering a Christ-centered education that challenges each child to reach their full
potential and encourages them to honor Christ in all aspects of their life.

  • 2 Timothy 3:14-15 - But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

  • Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
We are committed to providing various opportunities where disciples of all ages are able to personally learn about Christ's love, spirit, and truth, so they can grow in their faith and discover their baptismal identity.

  • Matthew 28:19-20 - Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

CONNECTING INWARD AND OUTWARD
We are committed to living as God's people, being ambassadors of God's love and strength and creating an environment that is welcoming to all. We value all opportunities to serve, worship, and join in fellowship allowing us to serve in His name, spread His word, share His love, and value the gifts He has bestowed upon us.

  • 3 John 1:5-8 - Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the friends, even though they are strangers to you; they have testified to your love before the church. You do well to send them on in a manner worthy of God; for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from non-believers. Therefore we ought to support such people, so that they may become co-workers with the truth.

  • 1 Corinthians 11:1 - Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

  • Galatians 5:22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

  • Matthew 25: 35 - I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.

  • Matthew 18:20 - For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN LIVES
We are committed to a church culture that encourages members to be engaged in the church community, to share their gifts, and to support one another in love. Through this commitment, we pray that the light and love of Christ will shine through us.

  • Matthew 5:16 - In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

  • Matthew 22:36-39 - "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
